Kathryn is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina, and is also certified through Eagala to facilitate Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. She is passionate about integrating nature and horses into the counseling process, as both provide a compelling experiential component for change and growth.
Equine-assisted counseling provides clients with the latitude to discover, learn and grow from the horse-human relationship. All of these sessions are ground-based and the horses are a powerful part of the treatment team. To learn more about this, visit Kathryn’s website at www.wildatheartcounseling.com.
She received her M.A. in Community Counseling from Denver Seminary in 2011 and has worked in various settings since then. These included working with individuals, families and couples in private practice, student-athletes at Clemson University, and facilitating horticulture therapy for groups.
Kathryn enjoys working with female adolescents and adult women in the areas of depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, identity, and spirituality.
She works from Experiential, Solution-focused, and Faith-based counseling modalities to help clients grow and reach their goals. Ultimately, her desire is to see her clients flourish in their lives.
Kathryn resides in Greenville, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, reading books, gardening and hiking.
