Chelsia is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
Chelsia counsels from the belief that the relationship we have with ourselves is one of the most important relationships we will ever have. She enjoys helping teen girls and adult women discover their voices, find self-compassion and move toward wholeness. She takes a client-centered approach, while regularly working from a combination of Internal Family Systems and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Chelsia has experience working with women's issues, relational conflict, anxiety, depression, college students, spiritual abuse, grief, trauma, and those adjusting to new seasons of life. Chelsia is a licensed counselor who is also a Christian and can integrate faith into your sessions if you choose to do so.
The Upstate has been her home since childhood. Advocacy for her community started as work within the Nonprofit human services sector. The fundraising side of Nonprofits served as her first introduction to the incredible stories of resiliency, healing, and empowerment of local women. Chelsia soon realized her desire to be in the room where the change happens, and to hold space for the individuals behind the stories.
On a sunny day, you can find Chelsia on a trail in the mountains, or on the way to find a good hotdog. On a cloudy day, you’ll find her in a corner seat of a cozy coffee shop having a conversation about nothing and everything with a dear friend.
