As Co-Owner and Director of Greenville Counseling Associates, Hunt is committed to creating a practice where individuals and families feel supported, understood, and equipped for meaningful change.
I was born and raised in Perry, GA. I received my Bachelor of Business Administration from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and after marrying my beautiful wife, we moved back to Perry. I worked for our family business that my great grandfather started. After realizing this work was not for me, we moved to Greensboro, GA where I worked for the Ritz-Carlton. Three years and one son later, our family decided to move to Greenville, a city we visited a number of times and fell in love with. While in Greenville, I have worked in both management and sales roles. However, I began to realize just how much I enjoyed working with people one on one. Helping people work through difficult and challenging situations in their personal lives as well as their working lives was what I enjoyed most about my work. After much thought, prayer, and guidance I decided to pursue my Masters in Counseling.
I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. During that time I was able to intern at Shannon Forest Christian School where I began to really understand how much I enjoyed working with teenagers and also with parents who are struggling to be the parents that they want to be. I also had the privilege of working with City Center Counseling Ministries for two years.
I am licensed by the state of South Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor and I truly enjoy working with teenagers to help them overcome the trials and struggles that typically come along at that age. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you think I could be a helpful resource for your child or your family.
If you aren’t sure if I am a good fit for you or your teen, maybe this will help. I love:
Sports (maybe a little too much)
Chips and Salsa
GIFs/Memes that perfectly express what you’re feeling
Working quotes from The Office or Seinfeld into every conversation
When something is really funny, but it is an inappropriate time to laugh
The mountains
The thought of waking up early and working out.
Sleeping In
Eating after dinner
