Lisa earned her M.Ed in School Counseling and later became a Licensed Professional Counselor after discovering her passion for working with adults. She understands that coming to counseling requires courage and trust, and she deeply values the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful growth and healing.
Lisa meets clients with empathy, compassion, and gentle challenge while encouraging them to grow beyond their comfort zones. She feels honored to walk alongside individuals as they learn new skills, build self-confidence and self-compassion, develop healthy habits, learn to trust themselves, and break free from unhelpful patterns to become their best selves.
Lisa takes a holistic approach to counseling, believing in the importance of nurturing the mind, body, and spirit. Her clinical framework integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered principles.
She supports clients working through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, parenting challenges, and life transitions. Lisa works with children (ages 6 and up), teens, adults, and couples, offering a safe, supportive space for growth and healing.
Lisa was adopted from Taiwan as an infant and has lived in many states (North Carolina, Florida, Oregon, Tennessee, and South Carolina) before happily settling in Greenville, which she now calls home. She has been married for nearly 25 years and is a proud mom of two teenagers, one in college and one in high school. In addition to her private practice, Lisa continues to serve part-time as an elementary school counselor for Greenville County Schools.
Outside of work, she enjoys supporting her kids in their sports, working out, walking with a friend, listening to podcasts, and chasing sunrises and sunsets. Lisa’s faith is an important part of her life, and she is happy to integrate faith-based perspectives into counseling sessions when requested by the client.
