Prior to moving to the Upstate, she worked with the nationally known Minirth Meier Clinic in Chicago, Illinois where she counseled individuals, couples and families. Nan works in a variety of need areas such as: couple & family issues, older adults navigating later-life transitions and challenges, anxiety and depression, stress management, life adjustment, parenting issues, trauma (EMDR certified), and women’s needs.
Nan has been a speaker and a workshop leader in a wide variety of contexts such as professional organizations, schools, and churches. Some of these include, but are not limited to: Brookwood Church, 1st Baptist Church of Taylors, Shannon Forest Church & School, Easley Business & Professional Women’s Organization, First Presbyterian Church, and Rosewood House of Recovery. She also has a background of several years in lay ministry. Nan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of South Carolina. She has also been a Network Representative with Steve Arturburn’s New Life Ministries and Dave Ramsey’s VowSavers.
As a counselor, Nan seeks to come alongside clients to encourage, coach, guide and educate. She especially enjoys helping women work through difficult life situations which may stem from a variety of situations such as stage of life issues, past wounds and relationship needs. She sees counseling as a collaborative process that allows an individual to work toward clear and concrete strategies for personal growth, healing, and change.
Nan, her husband, and three children have lived in Greenville since 1998. They enjoy reading, biking, good conversation and community with friends and family, exploring the upstate, and just hanging out.
