Tate is a Greenville native, who is convinced that the city just keeps getting better with age. She has worked as a counselor in the upstate for over 12 years and has been employed with Greenville Counseling Associates as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2017. Prior to that, she worked at City Center Counseling Ministries, our affiliate group. She began her career at Greenville Mental Health Center, providing counseling in their school-based program. When she's not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her three children, who keep her on her toes. She also loves a good porch dinner with her husband and throwing endless tennis balls to her golden retriever. She enjoys quality time with family and friends, running, visiting the lake and mountains, spending time outdoors, reading, writing, and hunting for the best tacos in town.
Tate has been practicing as a counselor since 2014. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. She has extensive experience partnering with clients working through anxiety, phase of life, depression, and relationship struggles. She completed a year-long internship at a college counseling center. She has also completed extensive perinatal and postpartum trainings and is currently in the process of completing her Perinatal Mental Health Certification to specialize further in perinatal and postpartum struggles.
Tate is not paneled with insurance companies. She offers a superbill receipt that clients can submit to insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
